The attraction features an impressive cast who all reprise their roles from the films including Patton Oswalt as Max, Kevin Hart as Snowball, Eric Stonestreet as Duke, Jenny Slate as Gidget, Tiffany Haddish as Daisy, Lake Bell as Chloe, Dana Carvey as Pops, Steve Coogan as Ozone, Chris Renaud as Norman, Hannibal Buress as Buddy, Bobby Moynihan as Mel, Jessica DiCicco as Princess and Tara Strong as Pickles. The Secret Life of Pets is strong enough that parents won’t fall into a catatonic state while watching it with their offspring. To enhance the experience, there are also several points on the journey that effectively utilize special effects including projection mapping on physical sets and screens. There are more than 64 animated figures that you’ll encounter between the queue and attraction itself bringing to life favorite characters including Max, Gidget, Snowball, Chloe, Duke, and more. Storyline: Taking place in a Manhattan apartment building, Maxs life as a favorite pet is turned upside down, when his owner brings home a sloppy mongrel named Duke. The experience truly begins the second you step into the apartment building lobby and meander through a queue that instantly brings you into the world of the film. The attraction puts you into the shoes (paws?) of stray puppies on an adventure through the world of the hit Illumination animated features SECRET LIFE OF PETS and SECRET LIFE OF PETS 2. After just barely missing its grand opening last year due to the pandemic, we finally got our first look this week at the brand new Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash! attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood! The attraction soft opened for “technical rehearsals” during our visit to Taste of Universal and we were able to get full video and photos of the entire queue and attraction itself.
